Art Deco geometry meets Mughal jadau (the craft of setting uncut stones flush into gold, rooted in the ateliers of Jaipur and Bikaner) in this 22-karat gold-finish choker. Cushion-framed Moissanite Polki, bordered in American Diamond, interlock to form a geometric lattice, rigid above, fluid below. From the lower edge, graduated teardrop drops fall freely, each link part of a repeating structure that would not feel out of place in a 1920s Parisian atelier, except that the lineage of this craft is entirely Indian. The rectangular drop earrings carry this same tension throughout.
